a few craft projects.

may was a crazy month craft wise!  we had birthdays, a graduation, and mother's day.... oh my.  i thought i'd share some of the crafts we made, because if we can make 'em, you can make 'em!

here's our sweet nephew with the bunny we made him for his first easter.  the pattern from good old martha (stewart that is) is easy to follow and super cute!

have you ever dremeled?  if you haven't, you should!! the dremel tool can etch glass, wood, most anything you can think of!

i found these cocktail glasses, and had to have them for my father-in-law's birthday.  i love the T etched in!

i'm glad michael got to enjoy a birthday cocktail out of one  :).

we made these heating/cooling pads for the special ladies in our life for mother's day!  cut out any shape you like and sew, then fill 3/4 of the way with rice.  we added in a little lavender for a special touch ;).    either microwave for 2 minutes, or put in the fridge for a frosty treat!

this is the bag we made for my sister for her graduation.  i take a tote bag like this to school all the time, so i wanted to make her one and fill it with teacher goodies!  i measured one of my bags, then added and inch to each measurement.  i cut the flower pieces out of felt and used a straight stitch to attach them!  i am no seamstress so the logistics were kind of tricky, thank god for ry and his magical brain ;).

these were just a few decorations i made for beth's grad party.  the banner was super easy, just sewn newspaper flags.  i already had the stencils so they worked out perfect for the lettering.  i definitely cannot take credit for the wreath idea. check out this blog if you wanna make one ;).

and last but not least...

this collage/painting we made my mom for her birthday!  we took an idea we saw on etsy, and tweaked it to make it our own.  she loved it!

the "tweaking" process.  lots of paper, and lots of wine.

i hope these ideas can inspire something for your crafting future :).

and a last note, i may be switching the blog to another site (for purely cosmetic reasons), so watch for a new address.  i'll try to send out the new address in an email, and i'll definitely update it via facebook!

FUN! I love craft posts! I especially love the cocktail glasses! Have you ever tried etching cream? We did some pie dishes for a Christmas gift-same idea but not.
