there are still nice people in the world.

check out our new rug for the nursery!
it's kind of a funny story how we ended up with this $435 rug for our sweet babe's room. i think this rug costs more than everything else we have in there... combined.

we were out on a walk on sunday, and saw a rug in front of the house we know to be james marsden's. we know this because i sort of accidentally, on purpose, stalked him once and saw him turn in there. the rug was rolled up, but it looked big and it was red which we thought would go cute with our color scheme. we decided to come back with our car and just ask to make sure they were getting rid of it. when we came back james' soon to be ex-wife (i read it on people ;o)) was in the garage. ry asked her if she was getting rid of the rug and she said to please take it! she said it needed a little work, but we were more than welcome to it. i was waiting in the car at this point, but then i heard her ask ry to come see if he wanted something else she had in the garage. i quickly (as quickly as my 33 week pregnant self allowed) hopped out of the car to see what other goodies she had. she noticed that i was pregnant, and asked what we were having. i told her a boy, and we thought the rug outside would go perfectly in our nursery. she then told us that she had the rug from her son's nursery boxed up, but would we want to look at it. we said of course... and she pulled out this rug. this hand-braided rug that incorporates every color that we've talked about including in our nursery. she also offered us an armoire that we really wanted, but didn't have the muscle (ry is a one-man team these days), or room for.

when ry asked what she wanted for all of this she just said "happiness." i think we can manage that ;o).

it's times like these that we know god is watching over us, and blessing us with far more than we could do on our own.
