but this time our trip was MUCH shorter :o). we headed down south to alamogordo to visit family. we pulled up to ry's grandparents house just in time to witness the butchering of two cows. the cows were headed to a hole in the ground to cook for a quinceanera.

max was so happy to meet great grandmom & great grandad...
... we promise.
they ended up taking a liking to each other :o).
friday night we went to a going away party at chris & jan's. we had so much fun sharing max with more family that hadn't met him. everyone was crazy about him...naturally. and do you believe we don't have one picture to document our night of fun?? sad face.
the next day the men pulled the pot out after cooking for over 24 hours.
i'm sure all the men did a huge sigh of relief when they opened the pot to see the meat was cooked!
and we all got to enjoy some quinceneara fun.
max melted another heart. he let gracie hold him and play with all night long. i'm pretty sure it made her night... maybe even her week ;o). he has that effect on people.
first time at church as a family of three.
pure joy seeing those you love so much fall in love with the new addition to your family.
we were spoiled with so much love over the weekend, can't wait to get back to alamo as soon as possible!
