so much to be thankful for!

every morning we wake up and think how blessed we are, it is so wonderful to have a day devoted to all of our blessings!  this was our first thanksgiving not being with any family, and despite missing everyone terribly we had a great one!  we celebrated with friends from back home, so that was a nice way of easing in to being away.  we offered to make the turkey, gravy and stuffing.  we had never made a turkey so we were eager to give it a shot, and we were pleasantly surprised!  it was really easy and came out delicious!

this is how we passed the time while they turkey cooked, with some help from youtube, we taught ourselves how to knit!  frustrating at first, but really fun and relaxing once we got the hang of it!  more progress updates to come!

we ate at katie and campbell's and got to experience their amazing view of downtown l.a.!

the table was set up on their deck, and luckily the weather was perfect for eating outside.  gotta love california in november!

we had a great thanksgiving and are so thankful for all of our family and friends, near and far!
