special visitors!

so we had a very special chanukah break with two very special people!  my parents decided to come out and visit since ry and i would not be able to see any of our family for christmas this year :(.  we had a weekend filled with lots of fun and just enjoying the company.

my dad's birthday was a few days before they got here, so we had a belated celebration full of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and banana cream pie!

 

my parents were appalled to find out that we didn't have a grill.  here's what happened next....

we had such a wonderful time just getting to be together, i can't wait until it happens again!
