it seems these flag buntings are all the rage these days- at least in my little world of blogging/ pinteresting :o). i'm so excited because i thought of a way to make this cute decoration a yearly tradition and memory keeper. ry and i wrote things on the back of each flag that we're thankful for this year. we're going to save each one, that way we can pull them out and read all the things we were thankful for the previous year! i think it will be such a fun way to look back on the past year and remember what special blessings were upon us :o).
and sometimes it's ok to be thankful for the little things in life... like yummy fall treats! i saw this recipe on pinterest and had to give it a try, it's too easy not to!
pumpkin pie dip
- 15 oz can pumpkin
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp pumpkin pie spice (i didn't have this, and it was plenty pumpkin-y without it)
- 6 oz fat free Greek yogurt (I used regular yogurt because it's what i had)
- 8 oz cool whip
- cut up apples to dip
Mix pumpkin with brown sugar, vanilla and spices, blend well. Mix in yogurt. Fold in cool whip and chill in refrigerator until ready to eat.
it really is such a yummy way to spice up some apple slices, or some pretzel sticks! enjoy :o).
