this month has brought so many amazing changes in max! he's learning and interacting so much every day, it is so incredible to see :o).
i never thought this would be possible... but max is getting even cuter!his little personality shows through more and more, and we just fall in love with him more and more.
month four has continued the 'everything goes in my mouth' phase.
it has also brought tummy sleeping! we put him down on his back and when we'd come back to check he'd look like this! our move to albuquerque has also brought sleeping through the night for max! he's dropped that 4:00 am feeding and now sleeps from about 8:00 or 8:30 until 6:30 or 7:00. now that, we can totally handle :o). with that said, for about the last week or so he has been waking up wanting the binky at around 4:00, and sometimes every hour from then on until he wakes up. hoping that it's just a phase :o/. any wise words are welcome from the mama's out there!
this month max also learned to roll- both ways! he starting rolling from tummy to back first, then saved up the back to tummy for the hotel room on the move back. it was actually a really traumatic experience because he had just spit up on the bed so as i reached for the burp cloth he decided to roll over, right into the spit up! it got in his eye and his nose, and he did not like getting cleaned up :o(.
the bumbo has been an exciting addition to our home :o).
he loves to sit and watch us cook dinner. he's also seemed pretty interested in food lately... i guess we'll have to start some food with him sooner than later!
max is such a great little tummy timer! i'm sure it won't be for a while, but it seems like he will be ready to crawl before too long! he gets his little arms and legs moving, and he can scoot around in a circle and backwards :o). so proud of our sweet boy!
max is now grabbing for everything! he's really getting good at using his little fingers to hold and manipulate stuff ;o).
this month also brought our last beach day (for a while anyway). it was max's first time feeling the water.... hahaha!! and lovin' those baby swim trunks ;o).
and max's favorite thing this week- playing with his hair. beyond precious!!
every day with max just gets better and better. ryan and i must have done something right along the way to be blessed with our max.
can"t wait to see what the next month has in store for our sweet one!

OH MY! He is CUTE! Love, love, love this age! Smiley, happy and NOT MOBILE :) Sorry about the paci-thing. My advice, hang with it; it's likely a phase! Should you desire to let him cry-it-out, watch the clock. He will cry but it's usually not as long as it feels! Anything beyond 15 minutes, we usually went in and reassured our kiddos {i.e. back rubbing, shushing, plugging them, but not picking them up}. Sounds like you are close to a 8-8 schedule! Yay! Also, one more thing. Once our babes started rolling, we stopped the swaddle and moved to a sleep sack. That's a transition all on it's own :)
thanks sarah! the phase seems to be phasing out already! if he gets back into it though, i think we will let him cry it out. hope you guys are well!
