thirteen days.

thirteen days into max's eighth month and we've got some big changes happening! after reading our favorite baby book, we found that eight months is the magic age for solid foods! and our max has been excited about that...

1. his old favorite- banana!!
2. not so sure about whole wheat penne- but he likes the idea. and that he can hold one in each hand and nibble :o).
3. he has everyone fooled here... he looks like he's loving cucumbers... so not the case. i found them all on the floor :o(.
4. loving his peaches and sweet potatoes :o).

1. more sweet potatoes and a little penne with parmesan.
2. greek yogurt! he didn't mind the taste, but does not care for anything we have to spoon feed him. he is mr. independent!
3. his ultimate favorite so far... a soft pretzel!
4. he's loving scrambled eggs for breakfast!

we've since replaced that dee-licious soft pretzel with a whole wheat one. he's not as excited about them as the white, but he'll still wolf one down ;o).

eating hasn't been the only thing that's changed in these last few days...

this boy can climb! he climbs in and out of cabinets, on top of mom and dad, and just about anywhere else he can get to! he considers it a bonus if he can find something to climb on that can get him closer to somewhere he can pull up on... omg!

max is a real movie buff, and he loves to check out his flicks from his new favorite position. he rolls to his toosh from a crawl position, then proceeds to just hang!

baby boy loves to stand up anywhere he can manage ;o). if only you could see his sweet bum you would D.I.E. i just couldn't live with myself if i put his bootie on display for all of the known blogosphere :o/.

we've been so excited for some weather cold enough to snuggie up next to our fire! our family's babyest member was completely mesmerized... at first. now that we've had a few, he's totally over it ;o).

he also showed us this week that he most definitely knows how to wave, and when it is appropriate ;o). while out to lunch this week, i kept noticing him turning around in his high chair and waving his hand. i looked back, and there was a lady back there waving to him! he also waved to a baby at old navy when i told him to say hi. baby genius? we think YES!

another one of our most recent faves- when max is doing something he isn't supposed to and we tell him no he shakes his head and laughs!! it's so hard to stay firm with him when he looks so cute- i'm pretty sure he's got us figured out already ;o).

what an epic thirteen days we've had! we are loving each new stage with our best guy!!

and an unrelated max update- thanks to my most amazing hubby/ graphic designer for giving the blog the long overdue makeover!! california love didn't seem to suit us as well anymore ;o). welcome to the new and improved turri ink!!
